Greenville, S.C. (July 11, 2022) –As part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of marketers and retaining top talent in the Upstate, Greenville-based full-service marketing communications firm BRIGHT+CO Marketing, has hired its fifth intern through the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s LaunchGVL program.

Facilitated by the Greenville Chamber in partnership with Greenville County Schools, the LaunchGVL internship program provides local high school juniors and seniors with valuable professional experience and insight into the range of industries and career options available in our area before these students enter the workforce. BRIGHT+CO is proud to be one of the first companies to employ and mentor these interns and has had at least one LaunchGVL participant working with the agency since the program started in 2017.

Sydney Thompson, a rising senior at Riverside High School, BRIGHT+CO’s fifth LaunchGVL intern, will be spending eight weeks of her summer break working with the agency, where she will help with a variety of projects like digital marketing, database management, public relations, social media content creation and reporting for BRIGHT’s clients across the globe, including a French-based global shipping and logistics company.

Several of BRIGHT+CO’s former LaunchGVL program interns have gone on to study marketing and other related fields in college, and one of the agency’s early program interns, Dylan Jeffress, now works full-time with BRIGHT+CO and its sister company, OrangeWip.
